Cheng Du

In my experience, a lot of foreigners know and love an adorable animal giant panda that is a national treasure of China. However, even as Chinese, not everyone has chance to see it in real life. If you want to see a large crowed pandas, you probably have to go Chengdu that is the capital city of Sichuan province located in southwest of China.

Sanxingdui

Chengdu is an ancient city with special civilization (Sanxingtdui) that has more than two thousand years of history. At present, it is the most developed city among western China. We call this city “Tian fu zhi guo” that means heaven state. It is a best leisure tourism city in China in my mind.

Four Girls Mountain

Chengdu is also my second hometown as I had been there for university for four years. There are a bunch of famous attractions in Chengdu included Giant Panda Base, Wushu temple, Dufu Thatched Cottage, Jinli street, Wuhou Temple, Wangjiang tower park and so on. These attractions are easy to go and you just need to take buses or subway. Moreover, some other best-know attractions like Mount Emei, Qingcheng Mountain, JiuZhaigou, Yadi, and Four Girls Mountain are near Chengdu. In most cases, if you want to go these places, you need to transit in Chengdu. It is a reason that Chengdu has good economic development. However, if you want to get some more specific information for each attraction, just go Google and do research to find what you like. You will find a lot of reliable information. I just list the places that I had been and liked in this blog.

Sichuan hotpot

In Chengdu, you can miss everything except one thing Sichuan cuisine that is the most delicious food I have eaten ever. People who live in Sichuan are good at to cook spicy and palsy food. Kung Pao chicken, Mapo Toufu and water cooked dishes are the famous dishes in Sichuan cuisine while Sichuan hotpot is one of the most popular food all over the China. Furthermore, street food in Chengdu has wide varieties and most of them open for whole night and located in many small streets. There are hundred places to eat street food but you need to find them by yourself. Even for me, I was study in Chengdu for four years and I only know several places to eat street food. People in Chengdu are loved to eat this food by talk, drink and relax especially in the summer night.
